Revised idea: Get an electric bass. Put piccolo strings on it which is tuned to EADG, like a standard bass, but up an octave. Tune the D string down to a C and rearrange the strings to be GCEA like a ukulele. Then… we’ll see what happens…

Dude just stick a capo on the 5th fret!

My thought was that I would not kapo it, and tune some strings down or something. I want to try to get a deep tone. I obviously still need to think this through, though.
